In July of 2020, Schenk & Bruetsch PLC assisted Iconic-511, LLC in securing tax incentives from the City of Detroit and the Michigan Strategic Fund to redevelop one of the last remaining obsolete properties on Woodward Avenue in Downtown Detroit. The more than two million dollars in incentives associated with the Brownfield plan and the Obsolete Property Rehabilitation will allow for the transformation of the long-vacant 30,000 sq. ft. four story building that connects Campus Martius Park to Hart Plaza. Crain’s Detroit Business reported that 511 Woodward will become the home to the first Capital One Café in Michigan, among other potential tenants.
