Steven A. Jacobs has more than nineteen years of experience representing banking institutions, residential and commercial lenders, national servicers and creditors, and individuals from loan origination through litigation and even collections. He primarily focuses his practice on civil litigation, real estate transactions and estate and probate matters, currently providing legal representation to banking institutions, loan servicers, private equity investors and individuals on a variety of litigated and transactional matters.

Steven has experience in a variety of matters including general motion and trial practice, commercial and residential mortgage foreclosures, receiverships, easements and other real property and contract disputes, defense of federal and state consumer protection claims, class actions, matters unique to clients having potential impact on operations, such state and federal regulatory compliance, arbitration, landlord tenant and appellate practice.

Steven graduated in 2005 from the University of Detroit-Mercy Law School earning his Juris Doctorate degree. Prior to law school, after earning his Finance and Business Economics degree from Wayne State University in 2001, he was employed as a financial analyst for a multinational corporation.

Steven is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is also a contributing author to ICLE, Michigan Residential Real Estate Transaction, Second Ed.
