WXYZ Detroit covered the lawsuit filed by the Glenborough Homeowners Association against the U.S. Postal Service

In September of 2020, WXYZ Detroit covered the lawsuit filed by the Glenborough Homeowners Association against the U.S. Postal Service for violating the federal Freedom of Information Act and failing to justify its decision to deny a zip code change request. According to the complaint filed by Schenk & Bruetsch PLC, the Post Office was required to perform an analysis of the request, survey the neighborhood, and justify its reason for denying the request. Yet, the partial FOIA response showed that there was no analysis, despite Glenborough being surrounded by the requested zip code and having support from local elected officials for the change.
