Law360.com reports on the Court of Appeals affirming a Michigan Tax Tribunal judgment in favor of Schenk & Bruetsch client Comerica Bank

In April of 2020, Law360.com reported on the Court of Appeals affirming a Michigan Tax Tribunal judgment in favor of Schenk & Bruetsch client Comerica Bank, related to the State’s attempt to double-tax Comerica Bank for revenue of its subsidiary. The Court of Appeals also reversed the Tax Tribunal’s finding that Comerica was not entitled to millions of dollars in tax credits. Represented by Thomas P. Bruetsch, the ruling results in a total of a ten million dollars of tax savings for Comerica. That case is presently on appeal before the Michigan Supreme Court.
